Time

Why do I pursue this craft called photography? What purpose does it ultimately serve personally and for those who may enjoy what I have feably attempted to capture with whatever tool of technology is in my hand? I have pondered this many times and have come to the conclusion that the art of capturing light and shadows is ultimately a way to freeze a moment in time in order that I or others can revisit this moment. For me as the photographer I am blessed to have the extra privilege of being able to relive the moment of taking the photo knowing the circumstances of the day or the journey it may have taken to plan and arrive at a particular location. For those who may view my photos my hope is that they tell enough of a story in themselves that the image can stand on its own and the viewers eyes can enjoy the journey through the scene almost what I have come to think of as I compose a photo to be a “playground" for the eyes. Ultimately, it is Jesus Christ as the Son of God who created this world as the Master Workman but I am thankful to be able to capture some tiny glimpses of time and space to be able to share with anyone who might enjoy seeing what I see. Even if no one chooses to view my work I am forever grateful for these captured moments in time.

I hope that you enjoy my site and are encouraged with whatever musings that I put into this blog to help encourage your day or even to pass along whatever things about photos that I have learned if you also feel inclined to pick up a camera with more than a simple snapshot as your goal. Feel free to add your comments and own thoughts in response.
